I've been looking for an answer to this, but I guess I don't know how to word my problem in the best way since I haven't been very successful.

I have a cell that uses the MIN function to find the minimum value between two different cells. In another cell, I want to use the value from the chosen minimum cell in an equation. How do I access the address of that cell?

I hope this makes sense.

Thanks!

Excel Facts

Convert text numbers to real numbers
Select a column containing text numbers. Press Alt+D E F to quickly convert text to numbers. Faster than "Convert to Number"
It's =MIN(F4*I6, E4*J6) and I want to access either F4 or E4 depending on which is gives the minimum value for the equation.

I just answered my own question. Please disregard my stupidity. :ROFLMAO:

What is the equation you are trying to put together?

A simple IF statement came to mind based off of your above post,

IF(F4<E4,F4,E4)

IF(F4<e4,f4,e4)[ quote]

Let's say F4*I6 is the smaller value. I want to access the value in F4 and multiply that by a different number. </e4,f4,e4)[>
